New Delhi: The country’s largest private airline by market share, Jet Airways, Friday reported a 21.8 percent increase in its international operations in August as against the like period last year.
The airline said its domestic operations also grew by 14.9 percent in August as compared to the same month last year.
According to Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) passenger data, Jet Airways and its budget arm, Jetlite, garnered an imposing 27 percent of the total market share in the domestic airline segment in Augustfollowed by Kingfisher at 20 percent and National carrier Air India at 18 percent.
“The airline has been responsive to the dynamic market requirements, our strategic marketing initiatives and global codeshare arrangements have provided the required impetus to growth process,” said Nikos Kardassis, chief executive, Jet Airways.
The group also registered the highest ever on time performance of 94.1 percent.
