The bench comprising Chief Justice FI Rebello and Justice Pradeep Kant while refusing to issue any restrain order regarding broadcasting of news of Ayodhya issue clearly stated that everybody has a right to expression and speech.

Earlier, a local lawyer Prince Lenin had filed a PIL pleading before the court to issue directives to electronic and print media to refrain them from publishing/broadcasting news related to Ayodhya issue making them sensational. The advocate had pleaded that such acts by media houses result in vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of the country.

The bench in its order while disposing of the PIL mentioned that specific instructions have been issued to district administrative officials and other concerned authorities for maintaining peace, law and order in the state.
