New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind today decided to defer the Kashmir Conference scheduled to be held at Deoband on October 4, in view of the aftermath of Babri Masjid title suit verdict that is to be announced on September 30. The conference will now be held on October 10.
“It has been decided by Jamiat Ulama-i- Hind that the Kashmir Conference scheduled to be held at Deoband on October 4 should be deferred to Sunday October 10 from 10 am to 2 pm at Deoband. The conference will be held accordingly. It has also been decided that massive Kashmir Conference Scheduled to be held on October 30 in Delhi shall now be held on Sunday October 31 at Ram Lila Ground New Delhi,” said Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, secretary, public relations.
Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulama has urged countrymen to be peaceful after the Allahabad High Court verdict tomorrow. Jamiat leader and MP Maulana Mahmood Madani has appealed to the countrymen including Muslims and Non-Muslims to maintain peace and tranquility after high court verdict on Babri masjid title suit and avoid expressing any sort of emotions. “We hope that government would leave no stone unturned to establish law and order in the country,” he said.
The October 31 conference on Kashmir at Ram Lila ground in New Delhi will try to address the concerns of Kashmiri people. All stakeholders, including Muslims and other community leaders have been invited to the conference to bring out a common resolution of the crisis, Farooqui said.
