New Delhi: Stating that the Allahabad High Court verdict on the Adyodhya dispute should not be seen in terms of victory or defeat, the Congress Thursday said that any party not satisfied with the verdict could move the Supreme Court.
“The judgment which was keenly awaited, a judgment which is important for the whole Indian society, a judgment which was very sensitive… we should all welcome it. If anyone has any reservations over the verdict, the way of Supreme Court is open for petitioner or organisations concerned,” Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said here.
Dwivedi, who is head of the party’s media department, said the party has been maintaining that everyone should respect the verdict. “Nothing should be done to disturb harmony and peace of society.”
Answering queries, he said the verdict should not be seen in terms of victory or defeat.
“Showing any hurry and hurting sentiments (of any section) will not be appropriate,” Dwivedi said.
