Security tightened in Ranchi, civil groups to hold peace march

Ranchi: Ahead of Ayodhya verdict due to be announced today at 3:30 pm, security arrangement has been tightened in the capital city of Jharkhand. Additional battalions of Rapid Action Force and state police have been deployed in sensitive areas of the city.

Yesterday, a high level meeting held to review the security arrangements. Chief Minister of the State, Arjun Munda has appealed to maintain peace and respect the verdict. Till now, there is no report which may disrupt peace in the state. Religious leaders of both communities have also appealed to their followers to respect the verdict.

Meanwhile, members of civil society organizations and concerned individuals are meeting today in the Capital city around 2:30 pm. They will organise a peace march following the verdict. Senior Journalist Sudhir Pal, Tribal leader Dayamani Barla, Human Rights Activist, Shashi Bhusan Pathak, Academician and Convener of United Milli Forum, Prof. Hasan Raza, Social Activist, Balram ji, Cultural Activist, Faisal Anurag, Islamic Scholar, Maulana Asgar Misbahi and Student Activist Shariq Ansar are likely to participate.
