New Delhi : Delhi Metro services on Jahangirpuri-Gurgaon line were affected Friday after a train got stuck in a tunnel near Malviya Nagar station.
According to Delhi Metro officials, the train got stuck due to technical fault.
Trains were moving slow on the route and were terminated at Green Park station. There were huge crowds at all Metro stations as commuters waited for trains.
Announcements were being made in the coaches informing the commuters about the delay and slow running of the trains.
“I have been waiting here for half an hour. Metro officials are saying that it will take another 45 minutes before normal services resume,” said Abhishek Pandey, a commuter at the Green Park station.
According to DMRC estimates, the average daily ridership is approximately 14 lakh.
