Verbal duel between media, volunteers at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi : While the nation rejoiced as Anna Hazare broke his 97-hour hunger strike, media personnel and volunteers were involved in a hot exchange of words at Jantar Mantar Saturday when the former tried to meet the social activist.

Reporters from TV channels and print media were trying to get on the rear of the stage where the 73-year-old Hazare was sitting. However, the volunteers standing near the stage stopped the media personnel which led to a verbal dual.

The situation was brought under control by the police.
