New Delhi : Social activist Anna Hazare, who ended his 97-hour fast against corruption here Saturday, will leave for his native village Ralegaon Siddhi in Maharashtra’s drought-prone Ahmednagar district Monday, an aide said.
“He will go to his village tomorrow (Monday) and spend a few days in peace before returning to Delhi for the deliberations of the joint committee formed for the Lokpal Bill,” activist Arvind Kejriwal said Sunday.
Hazare, 73, who had a hectic six days in the national capital, said people were waiting for his return at his village. “I will spend some time with them,” he told reporters.
The deliberations on the bill will begin April 16.
