Bhubaneswar : India’s top power producer National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) will sell power to Orissa’s state-run GRIDCO Ltd from its solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, the company said.
The agreement to this effect was signed Tuesday by NTPC executive director (commercial) M.K.V. Rama Rao and Gridco commercial director P.K. Pradhan here in the presence of state Chief Secretary B.K. Patnaik and other senior officials.
NTPC is setting up 5 MWp (megawatts-peak) solar photovoltaics-based projects at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana, the NTPC said in a statement.
