According to the list of business for the Rajya Sabha, the discussion will be started by Leader of Opposition Arun Jaitley of the BJP.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said the discussion will be taken up in both houses under rules which do not entail voting.

“The discussion will be taken up in both houses under rules which do not entail voting,” Bansal told reporters.

“The government has reached out to all opposition parties to resolve the issue so as to ensure smooth functioning of parliament,” he added.

Both houses of parliament were adjourned Monday as opposition created ruckus demanding the ouster of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

The BJP also moved a privilege motion against Maken, stating that he misled parliament by saying that the BJP was responsible for the appointment of Kalmadi, who is facing corruption charges, as the chief of the Commonwealth Games organising committee.
