New Delhi : The National Consumer Helpline received a total of 13,203 telephonic and online complaints during June 2011, Delhi leading the list of complainants over grievances predominantly against the telecom sector.
According to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Delhi made 5,070 complaints, followed by Maharashtra with 2,413, Uttar Pradesh 1,543, Haryana 831 and Rajasthan 660.
“At 1,267 complaints, telecom sector was the most complained against, followed by grievances against liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) services, banking, and the public distribution system,” a statement said. “As per feedback received from 287 callers, 192 complaints were resolved.”
