Jharkhand to introduce right to service act

Ranchi : Jharkhand will soon introduce a law to ensure that people are provided government services within a stipulated time-frame, Chief Minister Arjun Munda said Monday.

“We will bring a bill in the upcoming assembly to formulate law regarding right to service act,” Munda said while addressing people at Morabadi Ground here on the occasion of Independence Day. “Under the act, time-frame of each work will be set and it will improve the delivery system.”

Munda reiterated his commitment to providing a transparent and corruption-free government.

“Our government conducted panchayat polls after 32 years and successfully conducted the 34th National Games. The women of the state have been given 50 percent reservation in panchayat bodies,” he said.

Earlier, Munda unfurled the tricolour at Morabadi Ground. Jharkhand Governor M.O.H. Farook hoisted the national flag in Dumka.
