Bhubaneswar : The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of the state-run Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Friday said it has registered its best ever production performance for a November month.
“By producing 200,052 tonnes of hot metal and 45,085 tonnes of plate mill plates, the steel plant registered the best ever November production” the company said in a statement.
The company said the plate mill achieved a new record for any single day – both in slab rolling and plate production – by rolling 2,577 tonnes of slabs and producing 2,430 tonnes of plates on Nov 10.
Another highlight of the month was a number of major units achieving the annual production plan targets, it said.
