Lucknow: The All India Babri Masjid Action Committee (AIBMAC) will demand framing of charges against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani on December 6 to commemorate the demolistion of Babri Masjid on that date 19 years ago.
Convenor, AIBMAC, Zafaryab Jilani stated that charges of conspriacy against Advani were dropped during previous NDA regime. “Our demand is that government should approach the court with a fresh application for framing conspiracy charges against Advani. It becomes important as it has been proved beyond doubt by the Liberhan Commission report,” he said.
AIBMAC will also hold special prayers and submit memorandums addressed to the Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh demanding expediting the cases related to Babri Masjid demolition. “The CBI should be directed that those who have been left out and are involved in the conspiracy, fresh cases be lodged against them,” said Jilani.
The memorandums will be handed over to the respective District Magistrates (DM).
However, AIBMAC has appealed to Muslims to observe the day with peace and not initiate any such thing which can disturb the peace and tranquility of the state.
