London : A woman in Britain has admitted to have killed her husband by locking him up in a store cupboard of a burning building.
Julie Dixon, 43, had originally denied killing popular businessman David Twigg, 46, during a fire at a workshop in Burgh Le Marsh, Lincolnshire, in March last year, the Daily Mail reported.
According to Lincolnshire police’s spokeswoman, she admitted killing him on the second day of her trial at Lincoln crown court.
Dixon had concealed huge debts and eventual bankruptcy from her husband Twigg. She was responsible for looking after the books and paperwork at the couple’s joinery or a wood-based business which Twigg had worked tirelessly to make a success, the court was earlier told.
She had previously told the police that the couple were attacked by masked intruders but later changed her story and told the police her partner had died following a failed joint suicide pact March 13 at Twigg’s workshop.
