Last month, the company sold over 8,600 Figos and the balance is accounted by the company’s other models like Fiesta, Ikon and Endeavour.

“2010 was a landmark year for us, with Ford nearly tripling its annual sales volume. Now we’ve begun 2011 with record-setting January sales. We have carried the momentum of last year’s terrific performance into the new year by crossing the 10,000-unit sales mark,” Ford India’s president and managing director Michael Boneham said.

In 2010, Ford India sold 83,887 cars, logging a growth of 184 percent over the previous year’s figures.

Ford India has sold over 68,000 Figos since its launch in March 2010.
