According to the reports, Delhi police on Thursday announced a reward of 55 lakhs- Rs 25 lakh to anyone with information on the shooting and that of Rs 30 lakh for leads in the car blast case.

In spite of sending police teams to Utter Pradesh and even Mumbai and questioning more than 50 people in order to get any lead in connection with the shoot out case, police hasn’t been able to get any solid clue about the people responsible for the attack.

Interestingly, the investigative agencies had a very flip flop stand regarding group or people behind the attack. Initially the police had attributed the firing and the bomb in a Maruti 800 parked near Jama Masjid that exploded two hours later to ‘disgruntled youths and local criminal gangs’.

But then, later on police didn’t rule out the involvement of an organized terror group in the incident. Indian Mujahideen, the banned terror outfit had sent an e mail to several media organizations owing responsibility for the attack and warning of more attacks ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
