Ranchi : Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, in his Republic Day speech Wednesday, said his government’s top priority would be providing transparent governance in the state and electricity to all villages in the coming four years.
“Our government is dedicated to provide transparent governance in the state. In a move to provide transparent governance, we have appointed lokayukta (ombudsman) in the state,” Munda said after hoisting the national flag in Jharkhand’s second capital Dumka on India’s 62nd Republic Day.
He added: “Our government’s aim is to provide electricity to all 32,615 villages in the next four years. The state will be able to ensure power trading of 4,000 MW in the next four year and 12,000 MW power would be produced by private players in the next three years in the state.”
“We plan to open ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) in all sub-divisions of the state. At present 80 ITIs, including 12 for women, are functional. The newly-elected panchayats will be connected through e-networking in the state,” Munda said.
