New Delhi: Newly-appointed Minister of State for Communications and IT Milind Deora said the union home ministry was in touch with the Maharashtra government following blasts at three places in Mumbai and all resources were being provided to ensure that peace is maintained.
Deora, who is an MP from south Mumbai, appealed for calm and urged people not to believe in rumour mongering. He urged people to maintain peace and not believe in any SMSs going around after the blasts that left 10 people dead and at least 54 injured.
“All resources are being put to monitor the situation and restore calm. People should be calm,” he said.
“Do not believe in rumours, maintain peace and sentiments of communal harmony,” Deora told mediapersons here.
Deora, who Wednesday assumed charge of his ministerial responsibility, said he would take a flight to Mumbai later in the evening.
