New Delhi : At least 21 people were killed and 141 injured in three powerful bomb blasts in Mumbai Wednesday, the government said.
The Saifee and Harikishan Das hospitals in Mumbai had the maximum number of dead with five each.
The injured in the two hospital were 40 in Harikishan and 34 in Saifee, a home ministry statement said shortly after midnight.
G.T. Hospital reported four dead and 14 injured. One person was reported dead in J.J. Hospital where 18 injured were admitted.
The central government has rushed a seven-member Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory (CFSL) team from Delhi to Mumbai and a five-member team from Pune.
The premier terror probe National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sent a six-member team from Delhi.
The probe agency has already seven officers in Mumbai in connection with investigations into another terror case. They have been asked to coordinate with Mumbai police for the probe into Wednesday’s bombings.
