Three serial blasts rocked the financial capital Wednesday evening killing 17 people and injuring 131 others.

Condemning the attack, Mukherjee said he was deeply saddened by the loss of innocent human lives and the suffering of those who have been injured.

The finance minister said he shared the pain and agony of friends and families of those killed and injured in the attack.

The benchmark sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) closed 0.12 percent higher at 18,618.20 points Thursday after touching a high of 18,803.05 points in intra-day trade.
