New Delhi/Lucknow : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday registered an FIR in the mysterious death of deputy chief medical officer Y.S. Sachan and began the probe.
“We have registered an FIR and started the probe into Sachan’s alleged murder,” a CBI official said.
The federal investigative agency said that the case has been registered in the special crime branch of CBI, Lucknow.
Sachan’s body was found with multiple injuries in the jail hospital toilet on June 22 night. The post-mortem had revealed nine injury marks on the body, including on the neck, elbows, wrists and thigh.
The Allahabad High Court Thursday asked the agency to complete the investigation into the case in three months.
