Chandrabhan named Congress chief in Rajasthan

New Delhi: Former Rajasthan minister Chandrabhan was Wednesday appointed as chief of the Congress in Rajasthan.

Chandrabhan replaces union Road Transport and Highways Minister C.P. Joshi as the state Congress chief.

“Congress president Sonia Gandhi has approved the proposal for appointing Chandrabhan as president of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect,” party general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said.

Chandrabhan, who belongs to Jat community, was the vice president of the state unit.
