Ranchi : Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Hemant Soren Monday presented a Rs.33,121.70 crore state budget for 2011-12 with focus on improving condition of roads, power and irrigation.
Soren, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the budget in which Rs.17,024.93 crore is earmarked for planned and Rs.16,096.77 crore for non-planned expenditure.
For irrigation and water resources, 10.13 percent budget allocation has been made and road and building construction got 9.81 percent.
The money will come from different sources like state taxes (23.67 percent), share of central taxes (22.32 percent), non-tax revenue (9.73 percent), public debt (16.13 percent), grants (28.05 percent) and recovery of loans and others (0.08 percent), Soren said.
In 2010-11, the gross state domestic product is estimated to be Rs.138,028 crore which was Rs.120,929 crore in 2009-2010.
