Jakarta : Indonesia issued a tsunami warning Friday after an 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit Japan, Xinhua reported.
The tsunami may arrive in Indonesia at about 6 p.m. (1100 GMT), an official of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency told the news agency by phone.
The tsunami is likely to come at the northern and eastern parts of Indonesia, he said.
