The session, lasting a little over two hours, saw Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Piyush Chawla and Munaf Patel go through a spell at the nets with the usual routine of throw-downs, but there was no fielding drill.

The team opted out of the practice session at the last minute Tuesday.

In the Group B points table, India are on seven points and are not yet sure of a quarterfinal place. South Africa are the only team to have made it to the last eight from the group. India, the West Indies, Bangladesh and England will fight it out for the remaining three positions.
