Talwars move Supreme Court against trial order

New Delhi: Rajesh and Nupur Talwar Saturday moved the Supreme Court seeking stay of the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court order summoning them to face trial in their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj’s murder case.

The dentist couple has challenged the Allahabad High Court’s order rejecting their plea for the stay of Ghaziabad Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court direction to appear before it March 22 to face trial proceedings in the murder case.

Rajesh Talwar has challenged the Feb 28 order of the trial court issuing bailable warrant against him after he failed to appear before the court earlier.

Nupur Talwar has challenged the Feb 9 order of the CBI special court, summoning her as an accused in the case.

Fourteen-year-old Aarushi Talwar was brutally murdered in her Noida flat on the night of May 15-16, 2008. Hemraj was initially thought to be the killer but his body was found on the flat’s terrace a day later.
