New Delhi : Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi Wednesday said strict action will be taken against flying schools enabling pilots to obtain licences without proper training and documents.
“There will be no leniency to anyone,” Ravi told mediapersons outside parliament Wednesday morning.
“There are about 40 flying schools, we will make an audit,” he said.
He added that the ministry has issued orders to the concerned agencies to go-ahead with investigations in this regard.
So far, 13 pilots have been arrested for obtaining licences based on forged marksheets and the flying licences of many others have been cancelled by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
