“Asif Balwa, brother of DB Realty managing director Shahid Balwa, and Rajiv Agarwal were arrested here in connection with the case,” CBI spokeswoman Dharani Mishra told IANS.

“They will be produced before CBI special court Wednesday,” said Mishra.

They were arrested in the morning at the CBI headquarters after they allegedly did not cooperate with the agency during questioning, said a source in the CBI. They were summoned from Mumbai.

Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal were working as directors of the erstwhile Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd, whose name was later changed to Kusegaon Realty.

“The company is alleged to have acted as a mediator in transfer of Rs.200 crore to Cineyug, an amount which was later transferred to the Kalaingar TV,” said the source.

The CBI Monday conducted raids in Mumbai on the premises of Dynamic Realty, Kusegaon Realty and Cineyug and seized some documents, sources said.

Till now, six people, including Shahid Balwa, former telecom minister Andimuthu Raja, his personal aide R.K. Chandolia and former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura, have been arrested in the case.
