New Delhi : A Delhi laboratory’s forensic report saying the CD featuring lawyer Shanti Bhushan and Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh is original was influenced by “senior government functionaries”, Lokpal Bill drafting committee member Prashant Bhushan alleged Thursday.
The Chandigarh Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) had called the CD tampered but the Delhi branch of the organisation said its was original.
Talking to news channel CNN-IBN, Prashant Bhushan said it was part of the “smear campaign” against the civil society members in the panel to draft the anti-graft bill.
“It is obvious that very senior functionaries in this government have been going along in this entire smear campaign. Only they could have procured such a dishonest report from the CFSL,” Prashant Bhushan said.
“The entire speech of Mulayam Singh has been cut and pasted,” he added.
The controversial CD had a man, said to be Shanti Bhushan telling Mulayam Singh and then party general secretary Amar Singh that a judge could be “fixed” for Rs. 4 crore.
