Madrid : India’s Sania Mirza and Russia’s Elena Vesnina went down fighting to second seeds Czech Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia in the Madrid Masters tennis women’s doubles quarterfinals.
Sania and Vesnina lost 5-7, 5-7.
Sania’ run in the singles was over in the first round, where she lost to Vesnina in straight sets.
