New Delhi: Popular Front of India has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court to stay Allahabad High Court verdict of dividing into three parts the land where the Babri Masjid stood until 6th December 1992 when it was demolished by Hindutva mobs.

The Supreme Court bench on Monday also described the High Court verdict as strange and the case will be heard afresh.

“It is a moment of relief for all secular circles that were worried about communal prejudices contained in the High Court verdict. The title suit before the Allahabad High Court took 60 years and finally the majority judgement pronounced was unjust and biased. Since delaying justice amounts to denying justice, we hope that the Honourable Supreme Court will provide a speedy hearing and an early verdict,” said K. M. Shareef, General Secretary, PFI.
