Ahmadabad: A day after the election results of 5 states, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President, Arjun Modhwadia, asked Narendra Modi led BJP government in the state to take care. “BJP has lost its face completely in all the 5 states specially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala,” said Modhwadia.

He said BJP could not win even one of 294 seats in West Bengal, whereas it could win only 5 in Assam out of 126 seats (BJP had won 10 seats in Assam in 2006) and could not win a single seat in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Directly attacking the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modhwadia elaborated, “Surprisingly, in West Bengal and Assam, BJP candidates lost wherever their star campaigner, Narendra Modi had campaigned.”

This is what summed up by the congress spokesperson, Manish Tewari, in his reaction to the results “BJP contested 761 seats in the Assembly elections in the five states and could win just five. I wonder whether the main opposition party is a national party or a notional party,” Tewari told reporters here.
