New Delhi : Delhiites woke up to another hot morning Sunday with the mercury touching 28 degrees Celsius — three notches above average. The weatherman predicted that temperatures over the week could shoot up to 45 degrees.”The sky will remain clear and the day will be hot,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
According to the weatherman, hot winds will continue to blow with no chance of relief any time soon.
“The temperature will continue to rise, it may touch 44 or 45 degree Celsius by next weekend,” the official said.
The maximum temperature is likely to touch 42 degrees Sunday.
Temperature touched its highest for this season last Thursday when mercury soared to 43.1 degrees.
