“Some security departments have certain concerns over the construction of the proposed tunnel,” Dawn quoted Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman Imtiaz Inyat Ellahi as saying.

Ellahi said there was a plan to build the tunnel but its cost estimates and designing had not been done.

The MPs had demanded construction of the tunnel for their safe movement from Parliament House to Parliament Lodges which are located at a distance of about 500 feet.

The Parliament Lodges have about 365 executive suites that are allotted to lawmakers when sessions of the two houses are in progress.
