Congress workers led a protest in the state capital and brought along a dog which had a placard around its neck with Prabhat Jha’s name on it.

State BJP chief Jha allegedly made the disparaging remarks after a function in Bina where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh dedicated a refinery to the nation. Four central ministers Jaipal Reddy, Kantilal Bhuria, Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia were present on the occasion.

Later Jha, interacting with journalists at Jabalpur, said: “Four ministers were barking in front of the prime minister but it had no impact.”

Congress leader K.K. Mishra said “Prabhat Jha is like a dog’s tail which can never be made straight”.

The BJP leader has often courted controversy with his remarks.
