Ankara : Eight people were injured when an Iranian bus travelling to Syria was attacked by unidentified gunmen in eastern Turkey, Xinhua reported Tuesday.
There were 40 passengers aboard the bus when the incident happened in the Ercis town of the Van province, local Hurriyet Daily News reported.
Two people opened fire at the bus after its driver refused to stop despite their warning, it said, adding that the bus driver, who was injured during the attack, managed to reach the nearest police station amid intensive gunfire.
