IFF to deploy volunteers to help Indian Haj pilgrims

Dammam: India Fraternity Forum (IFF), which has been offering services to Indian Hajis during the Haj for past several years, has decided to pool its volunteers from across the Kingdom to help Indian Hajis at important locations. Part of the program, the Dammam chapter of IFF will send 100 volunteers.

The decision was taken at IFF Regional Council meeting held in Dammam. A special team has been set up with volunteers from expatriates of various Indian states. The team will join in Mina with other IFF volunteers from Jeddah, Riyadh and Abha on 9th Dul Hajjah evening to provide maximum voluntary service to pilgrims in Mina, Arafah and Muzdalifah.

The volunteers who speak different Indian languages will help to serve north Indian Pilgrims. The IFF voluntary hajj services include to guide lost Hajis to their tents, to assist the weak and sick pilgrims, to provide medical assistance, to give awareness on risks and safety issues and to coordinate with various Haj Missions & Mutawwif offices to serve the pilgrims.

Meanwhile, a sub-committee has been formed for the smooth functioning of the mission. Training and awareness, vaccination and orientation classes on safety and health issues for dedicated volunteers are under process.
