New Delhi: Human Welfare Foundation, PM Foundation Kerala and Fathima Heath Care Group jointly felicitated 100 meritorious students of Muslim minority community of Delhi in an Award Distribution Ceremony held in Hamdard Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi on Sunday.
Saiyid Hamid, Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard and Chairman of HWF said that the award will indeed bring confidence and motivation in the students of this community and in turn play a part in empowering the community. He presided over the program.

Mr. Safdar H. Khan, Chairman, Delhi Minorities Commission said that there are multiple number of educational scholarship schemes and financial assistance from government which are given annually to minorities which must be attained.
Mr. Siddique Hassan, secretary, HWF, in his keynote address said that selfish individual is what the educational environment is creating in this age of competition and that the students who received the awards need to be part of serving the society.
Ambassador of Bosnia, H.E. Saeed Avdic, Dr. M. Ibrahim, Embassy of Yemen, H.E. Dr Maazim, Prof. Akhtar Siddiqui, Ex Chairman NCTE, Master Abdul Waheed, President JIH, Delhi & Haryana, Mr. Musharraf Hussain Siddiqui, Sheikh Shoaib Bhudan, Secretary, SIO of India also spoke on the occasion.
The students who scored more than 60% marks in Board Examination for the academic session 2011 were awarded in the function. Each student was given a cash award of Rs 1000 and Certificate of Merit. Award programmes of this kind will also be held in 14 other states of India.
