Arab business called upon to embrace innovation

Sukuk (Ras Al Khaimah) : United Arab Emirates Supreme Council Member and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, has called upon the Arab businesses and enterprises to embrace innovation and invest in knowledge.

Sheikh Saud was speaking during the second edition of the Global Arab Business Meeting (GABM) which started off in Ras Al Khaimah Sunday.

Addressing the gathering of ministers, CEOs and economists, Sheikh Saud urged the small and medium enterprises in the region to invest in knowledge, research and innovation as they were the powerful drivers of growth and vital to ensure survival in tough times.

“Investment in knowledge is never a waste as it is our gateway to unlock our future. This is the door open to all companies in the region and those firms which can innovate and adapt will survive the tough times and continue to expand and develop,” Sheikh Saud noted.

He stated that investment in knowledge has often been overlooked in the Arab world in favour of more tangible investments like infrastructure and new projects.
