Lucknow : Yoga guru Baba Ram Dev Monday demanded registration of a case of sedition against leading Supreme Court lawyer and Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan for his utterances on Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here, Ram Dev said, “What Bhushan said in reference to Kashmir was highly seditious and cannot be condoned.”
According to him, “The language used by Bhushan does not behove a prominent member of civil society taking up a huge social cause; therefore there was every reason to restrain him.”
Ram Dev even sought an explanation from Anna Hazare for allowing Bhushan to use the banner of civil society for issuing a “seditious” statement on Kashmir. “I am sure Anna ji owes a clarification to the people of the country on the issue; he must make his stand clearer,” he emphasized.
Bhushan had in a speech called for plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.
Asked for his views on the Jan Lokpal Bill, Ram Dev said, “Well, unlike Anna ji, I would not give up my agitation even if the Jan Lokpal Bill is passed by the parliament, as my mission is to expose and bring back all of India’s black money that was stacked in foreign banks.”
