New Delhi : The Delhi and Maharashtra teams bagged four spots each in the quarterfinals of the 9th HCL international Prize Money Bridge tournament here Friday.
After the 10-round Swiss league, favourite Dhampur Sugar Mills topped the table with 195 Victory Points (VPs). Other Delhi teams who made it to the last eight stage were Azure (182 VPs), Formidables (176 VPs) and Promila Saraf (176 VPs).
The Maharashtra teams include Khandelwal from Nagpur which finished second in the league table after Dhampur Sugar with 187 VPs. Mumbai’s Heads and Hearts (180 VPs), Team Aandrey (179 VPs) and Manyavar (176 VPs) also made the cut for the quarters.
In the quarterfinals, Dhampur Sugar Mill will take on Team Aandrey while Khandelwal will meet Promila Saraf. In two other quarterfinal encounters, Azure will challenge Manyavar and Formidables will clash with Heads and Hearts.
