Campus Front Launches Campaign for ‘Stand Up for Civil Rights’

Bhopal: Campus Front of India has started nation-wide week-long campaign Stand Up for Civil Rights from Monday (September 12 to 19).

A Press Release issued by C. A. Raoof, general secretary of Campus Front, said: “We all know how the rights given by the Indian Constitution are violated by the army, police forces and ruling class. Lands of the common people are grabbed by the government for corporate and if they protest for the injustice they have to face police atrocities. Fake encounters become the routine activity of the police. Civil Right activist are facing harassment and framed in false cases regularly”.

The release said that in this high time, it is need of the hour that students in particular and common people in general should break the injustice and stand up for civil rights.

In this campaign Campus Front is going to conduct a series of awareness campaign in various campuses and towns of the country and organize seminars in various campuses, to make aware of the extent of civil right violation in India and try to mobilize students to stand up to defend the rights of people, the release added.
