“The rise in petrol prices has direct bearing on essential commodities and needs of the common man. The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government should withdraw the hike,” a statement quoting Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said.

Petrol prices were hiked Thursday, for the 10th time since June 2010, by Rs.3.14 a litre from Friday. “The decision to hike the prices is anti-people,” Dhumal added.
