Anand, who had moved the court seeking sanction to prosecute Kejriwal for his alleged derogatory remarks, told the court that on March 26 he was picked up from Dwarka by some men, who asked him to withdraw the complaint.

Metropolitan Magistrate Purshotam Pathak, however, asked his counsel to approach the police while refusing to pass any order on the issue.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police also told the court that it has forwarded the complaint against Kejriwal to Ghaziabad Police for necessary action.

The court had earlier sought an Action Taken Report from the police by April 11 on an FIR filed against Kejriwal.

The police in its Action Taken Report said: “From the gist of the complaint, the place of occurrence was found in Ghaziabad. Facts were discussed with senior officers and the original complaint was sent to the police station in Ghaziabad for further necessary action.”

“Complainant may kindly be directed to approach the police station of Ghaziabad for the action taken report on his complaint,” police further submitted.

Anand, had alleged that Kejriwal made an objectionable speech at a rally in Ghaziabad Feb 26 with malafide intention to lower the reputation of parliament.

The accused “uttered objectionable words intentionally and with mala fide intention with the sole motive to lower the credibility and reputation of the elected representatives in parliament”, said Anand in his application.

He alleged Kejriwal’s statement was intended to create feelings of hostility, hatred and contempt towards MPs.

Anand in his application alleged that Kejriwal committed penal offences of sedition and criminal intimidation.

Kejriwal called Members of Parliament “rapists, murderers and looters” at an election rally on Feb 26 this year.
