New Delhi : The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Wednesday told the Delhi High Court that Emaar MGF, the construction company which built flats in the 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG) village here, can allot the dwelling units to buyers as the completion certificate had been issued to 30 out of 34 towers in the village.
The land-owing agency also informed the court that the conveyance deed was executed Wednesday and Emaar MGF could allot 392 flats to purchasers after they completed the formalities.
It was also brought to the court’s notice that Emaar MGF had paid Rs.16 crore dues to the DDA.
The court earlier directed Emaar MGF, to pay over Rs.16 crore dues to the DDA so that it could issue completion certificates for the flats.
Justice Hima Kohli permitted the DDA to initiate the process for auctioning 110 flats in three towers (1,9 and 14) for which the agency invited bids.
The court was hearing a plea of CWG Flat Allottees Association seeking a direction to the DDA to issue completion certificates so that the builder could hand over the possession to them.
