New Delhi : Proceedings in the Lok Sabha were disrupted Tuesday as Congress members raised the issue of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi allegedly favouring a foreign company in a gas exploration project.
Congress MPs demanded an answer over a report alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Gujarat had given a foreign company stakes worth Rs.20,000 crore in a gas exploration project virtually for nothing. This led to an adjournment of the house till 12.30 p.m.
A recent report in Tehelka magazine alleged that the Modi government gave away 10 percent stake in a Krishna-Godavari Basin gasfield to GeoGlobal Resources, a company that existed only on paper.
