New Delhi: Khudai Khidmatgar organised a day long fast and peace prayer near Rajghat to mark the 20th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid.
Addressing the gathering in the Khudai Kidmatgar leader Faisal Khan stressed on uniting against communal forces to strengthen democracy and for progress of our nation.
Sadbhav Mission, Asha Parivar and NAPM also supported the fast called against communal tensions.
Prof V K Tripathy of IIT Delhi said in his address, “This Country is not the property of any particular group or sections instead it gives the same rights and opportunities to every human being.” He added that India as a nation teaches peace, humanity and brotherhood and hence we oppose all forms of motivated communal violence.
About 20 ‘peace activists’ from across the nation took day long fast for peace and harmony in the country.
