UP CM visits Rampur; launches schemes for minority girl students

Rampur (UP): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched the scheme Hamari Beti, Uska Kal (Future of our daughters) at Rampur, which would give financial assistance to girls from minority community.

The financial assistance is Rs 30, 000 for each girl who has cleared the high school examination. The criterion being that the girl should be from minority community and her parents’ income should not exceed Rs 36000 annually.



The function was held at Jauhar University in presence of minority welfare minister Azam Khan. Akhilesh handed over cheques to the girls.

The scheme will benefit around 14 thousand girls. Akhilesh said that state government will provide assistance to all eligible beneficiaries.

Akhilesh praised Azam Khan on the occasion stating that the scheme was named by Azam Khan. He assured that all efforts will be done to develop Rampur city. He also highlighted other schemes of his government as unemployment allowance, Kanya Vidya Dhan, etc.



He also announced that soon students will be provided laptop and tablets. Akhilesh also stated that Urdu software will be installed in the laptops.

The faculty of humanities was also inaugurated at Jauhar University which was named after Mulayam Singh Yadav. PWD minister Shivpal Yadav was also present on the occasion.
