Turkish policeman shoots dead colleague during prank

Ankara : A Turkish policeman was killed and two were wounded Wednesday when a fellow officer opened fire at them thinking they were intruders when they showed up at his doorstep wearing snow masks, Xinhua reported.

The local Hurriyet Daily News said several officers planned a prank on Yasin Basoglu, a policeman on duty in the Black Sea province of Artvin.

The officers showed up on Basoglu’s doorstep wearing snow masks.

But Basoglu thought they were intruders and opened fire, killing one policeman and wounding two others.

Basoglu was arrested after the incident.
